Faction – Bluurg Records – 1983

Intro / Blinded By The Dark

Turn Away / Drowning

Released on Subhumans ‘Bluurg’ label, Faction’s only vinyl release was a decent effort, made all the better for some fine keyboard work in places on these tracks. Mel from the A Heads joined up on vocals, Sue the original vocalist had left the band by the time of this session. Brougham Road based Rob Challice on bass, soon to become manager of All The Madmen Records, Neil on the keyboards soon to become the guitarist of Blyth Power. A Faction tape on 96 Tapes is on this site somewhere, studio recordings with Sue on vocals, please use the search function on the right hand side.

You should put the Faction tape up n’all if you’ve still got a copy. alas, i think it was one of the many i taped acid house shows over many moons ago when i “never thought i’d care about that old punk stuff again” DOH!

ere Micky, howzabout sticking a load of old zines up here. i’d be happy to scan the covers and email ’em to you……Enigma, Anathema, TG, Fack, AZ, Book of Revelations, New Crimes, Necrology, PFS, A system partly revealed, Cobalt hate, Coming attack, Sunday the 7th, Scum………….IMO they were just as important as many of the bands around that scene. 🙂
