This is by far one of the best websites I have come across in ages! Too many great tunes to leave individual comments, but 5 flagons of appreciation to KYPP for the great “lost” music here – some I had only ever heard of, now I can actually hear them! Thanks!

didn’t he get all shirty in the 90’s and try to sue Boy George over something in his (B.G.) book? And there was the Dead Men Walking with Capt. Sensible

Great band, saw them loads around’79. Lovely people as well although Kirk was a bit of a cold fish.
I remember buying this at Rough Trade the week it came out. Bumped into Kirk outside the shop who insisted on signing it! Prefer the 1st single but Number 12 was my favourite live song.

yesss! brilliant record. The “Number 12” riff bearing an ‘uncanny’ similarity to a certain Apostles track đŸ˜‰ i remember Peel playing ‘king of kings’ and spending the following Saturday hunting around every record shop in Edinburgh for a copy. I’ve also got a great live tape that their drummer (Donut of PIL fame?) sent me around then. Will hunt it out and get it to Pengy. Cx

Kirk played a solo gig at the Railway, Winchester last year – two minute walk away from home and I still didn’t bother going… sorry!

THE PACK were great. Never saw them live unfortunately – closest I got was seeing THE STRAPS supporting THE DAMNED in Southampton in 1980 at the age of 14!
THE PACK singles have been compiled on CD with the THEATRE OF HATE ones by Cherry Red http://www.cherryred.co.uk/anagram/artists/theatreofhate.htm

It is with much regret that I am anouncing the sad death of Simon Werner who played In the Pack as guitarist, and also my band the Straps. RIP old friend.

“Hear the bells here/ They ring out to declare/ All churches’ chains are broke/ All earthly kings, we’ve downed your yokes/ Your people defy you, maybe you’re a joke”

FUCKNG HELL! Just astoundingly brilliant from start to finish.
