Part 1 – In The Shadow Of The Cross – 1981

Possessed / Black Mass / Pictures Of Pain / The Corpse / Incest

Ghost / Hymn / Graveyard Song / Tomb

From the collection of Jon From Bromley, a studio cassette only release from Milton Keynes favoured ghouls Part 1, peddled to the eager public during the second half of 1981.

This space is reserved for (hopefully soon) a small amount of text with information and memories of this recording session at the Crypt Studios in Stevenage (the same studios that recorded such lo-fi classics as ‘Crying Again’, the debut 7″ single by The Mob and the early Astronauts 7″ singles) which will be written by Mark F from Part 1 as soon as he gets comfortable in his new tomb which he has recently moved into.

Plenty more Part 1 material on this site if you care to search it out via the search function.

Did The Ex ever play the Autonomy Centre or Centro? I remember seeing it on a forthcoming events listing at the time but can’t remember if it ever happened. I did have a tape of another Dutch band that played called Amsterdamned.

    I. Mark F, forebear humble witness to mine own delay in scripted said passage for this much important, much kindly included audio missive to all staff at ‘Puppy’ and of course, to all and any interested parties! I am penning a tale too complement this ‘lividity’ for those whose interest can bear the weight…I beg yewre forebearance and, humbly, shy away from the bared-brain and balled-fists of thy indifferance.

    As ever yors…soon.

If all you West Bletchley boys can be bothered to get off your arses and make your way down to the Bowling Club off Milton Grove, there’s still some graffitti on the old railway bridge that must of been done by these guys

I recall a meeting that the Leighton Buzzard fanzine (Coming Attack) guys had with the band, they were as dark and as moody as their music

I saw them a few time in the Leighton Buzzard/Bletchley area, good live they were!

Oh yeah, got single somewhere, lord alone knows where
