Recorded at the Tegentonen 86 Festival with Gore, Sonic Youth and The Young Gods amongst other delightful entertainment, held at the world famous Paradiso club in good old Amsterdam.

A decent quality tape of The Butthole Surfers set around their peak. Sorry got no time to write too much this morning.

By the way, I am a bit of a Gore obsessive: do you have a recording of their set from the festival?

Butthole Surfers – the sound of the end of rock n roll to me. A glorious, manic, collision of noise, chaos and fury that few could match. Seeing them and a few other US bands of the time (Sonic Youth at the Mean Fiddler, Big Black at the Clarendon) was pretty much the last time i enjoyed seeing/buying/listening to rock bands for a long long time.
