Simon, Tim thanks the interest and for requesting the whole of my collection of THFC memorabilia. Unfortunately there is probably too much right now to upload. Yes Simon, I do have the 1959 single by the Tottenites ‘Danny Boy’ and of course the 1961 EP of the FA cup commentary, when Bobby Smith (my kind neighbour) done Leicester proper. That was the first double winning side in the league ever, I seem to remember once being told. Oh, were THFC also the first English team to have won a cup in Europe? Got a few of the FA cup records for good measure. Who told me that once we were once the champions of the FA cup? Eight times winners I think (I saw two of them ’81 and ’82). Can’t remember… Anyway THFC have been letting the other teams in the league have a pop at glory in the last few years. Tim will send you the CDR you requested without the Hoddle and Waddle single on, as alas I do not own this classic, sorry Tim, but again thanks for your interest, give me a bit of time though, a lot of vinyl history to put on…

January 26, 2008 at 1:15 pmCome on Pingu, you can’t do a sp*rs CDR without including that classic Diamond Lights from Waddle And Hoddle. Infact this HAS to be a DVD with their classic Top Of The Pops performance (see below if the link works) surely a highspot for popular music and for T*ttenham H*tspurs.
You also need to seek out the Reggae version of Nice One Cyril that came out on an Attack 7″ circa 73-74. It’s tacky and inept but then again Sp*rs fans are used to that. 😉

Although it pains me to say, that’s some quality collecting and dedication to a dodgy team! Sadly I remember some of those, ‘Nice one Cyril’ being one of them, it must have been that catchy chorus that stuck in my head, now I need a good dose of ‘Antisect’ to make me feel better! :->
