November 19, 2007 at 12:31 amMessage from Steve Corr from Idiot Strength below, put it here in the responses because I thought it deserved to be here…Penguin:
Just looking at your download page and was surprised to come across Onslaught.
Brought a tear to my eye.
Their lead guitarist Mat (he with the big rockabilly quiff) later moved to Bristol where we teamed up to form Idiot Strength.
That’s him playing drums at the Demolition Ballroom gig in the Idiot Strength downloads photos elsewhere on this site.
Sady Mat died in Spain where he was living just over 2 years ago now.

March 2, 2008 at 9:58 pmOK penance done (see Rosebery Ave. thread) although I wouldn’t call it that, as I liked the tracks, “State Control” I think the better one, reminiscent of some of the early Bullshit Detector contributions, a nice raw sound that could easily pass for early Epileptics / Flux.
Bizarrely my itunes then leads into P Diddy and Faith Evans with a version of “I’ll be watching you” (Poignant lyrics), Pingu’s theme tune, then some Lisa Lashes hard trance… who said I never had any taste?!?!
R.I.P. Matt… and here’s to a long and happy life Giles 🙂
