January 9, 2008 at 8:04 pmAn interesting choice. The track is not called “In Support of the IRA” but rather “Read All About It”. I asked Boff about this a while back as it caused a bit of bother at the time and he suggested that they were (a little naively) trying to get people to think more about local UK issues. The IRA were popular among certain left wing groups as well due to their attempt on Thatcher’s cabinet in Brighton back in the day but also due to their civil rights origins. The reality of course was that the IRA had an agenda and if you didn’t like it you could go fuck yourself. They were just as bad as any police force at the end of the day.
This is a good set all the same.

April 15, 2008 at 9:40 pmAmazing how the credibility balance was so against the chumbas…all the support of Conflict, squats, thoughtful anarchy, they supported every pc cause going…and then they sign to EMI ???

December 6, 2008 at 1:37 pmBut they used the EMI money to fund indymedia.org, which can only be a good thing from an anarchist point of view.
Thanks for this.
