Straight out of Welwyn Garden City via Robin Basak’s Zero fanzine empire comes the first vinyl release on Robin Basak’s Acid Stings Records.

Recorded in 1986 but released in 1987, this LP was meant to be the forth long playing release, alas the 3rd LP was held up by problems with Rot or Syndicate or Flow Motion Records, Lord (or possibly Andy Martin) knows who was actually going to release the ‘3rd’ LP. None of those labels actually did!

The 3rd LP was released eventually by Acid Stings Records themselves, but after this uploaded 4th LP ‘How Much Longer’…confused yet?

Mostly Andy Martin and Dave Fanning perform on this LP with help on a couple of tracks by Chris Widni and Scruff (from Hellbastard).

It is a decent LP with some delicate moments amongst the Alternative TV cover versions and general punk thumpers.

i never used to really like the apostles but have been listening to this quite a few times recently and actually enjoy it more everytime i hear it, weird, i take back anything i may have said before about em, top.

Wow I’ve been keeping an eye out for this one, I remember I found this at a mates place stuck it on and had a great time. Must have been around 88/89. I bought the life and times a while ago. Thinking it was it.

Bought this off Rob Basak down the Robey in the 80s.Loved it then and still do but lost my copy many moons ago so thanks for this.

Hello. Been really enjoying all the Apostles stuff you have uploaded. However the 2nd side of the How Much longer LP is now invalid. Is there any chance you could re-up this? Sorry to be a pain, but i’ve become pretty obsessed with The Apostles recently. Cheers and keep up the fantastic work! Will
