Great LP originally released on Ram Records in 1976 at the height of the new wave scene in New York. All these tracks are from bands associated with New York’s famous Max’s Kansas City Club during the mid 1970’s, but sadly\u00a0missing out Patti Smith, Blondie, The Ramones\u00a0and The Talking\u00a0Heads. Never mind this LP is still a great listen, The Fast and Wayne County tracks are as decadent as one might expect, be warned though, the\u00a0John Collins Band track is absolutely awful! Well maybe that is a bit harsh. In the context of a single track it is alright, but on this LP is does not fit well. Sounds more like Marillion than New York mid 1970’s new wave.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This club has been New\u00a0York’s\u00a0club to be ‘seen in’\u00a0for many decades and most of the bands and people ‘to know’ in the music biz have past through the club at one time or another including the delightful Debbie Harry from Blondie, below, and Andy Warhol above…<\/p>\n
