Some quaint and sometimes bitter sweet melodies from the hands of The Television Personalities, the band\u00a0on this LP had a line up of Dan Treacy, Ed Ball and Mark Sheppard AKA Empire. This is the\u00a0debut LP for the band and the only LP released on Rough Trade, as the TVP\u2019s shortly after this release created their own imprint \u2018Whaam\u2019 to release further material during the early 1980\u2019s.<\/p>\n
An old acquaintance of mine, Mark Flunder who took the photograph above of Dan Treacy, was playing bass for the TVP\u2019s from the following year, during 1982. Mark went onto form countless bands including The McTells, Cee Cee Beaumont and Sportique, all of these bands are well worth a listen. Notably it was Mark\u00a0 who released the 7\u2033 single by punk band Onslaught which can be found on this site if you search for it.<\/p>\n
