Which means not much time to more than sketch this out. What I would like to do is make a link between the criticism of anarcho-punk as self-indulgent \u2018lifestylism\u2019 \u2013 the \u201cWhat about the Miners Strike?\u201dstuff and the KLF\u2019s 1997 \u2018Fuck the Millenium\u2019 bash \u2013 which included participation by striking Liverpool Dockers\u2026 via Robert Anton Wilson\u2019s Illuminatus trilogy and the work of Eric Voegelin.<\/p>\n<p>But that will have to wait\u2026 what I have done is find what I think is the original of the critique, made by the short lived Anarchist Workers Group in 1989. It is <a title=\"AWG\/ 1989\" href=\"http:\/\/greengalloway.blogspot.com\/2008\/02\/immanetizing-eschaton-part-23.html\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a> on greengalloway.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, <a title=\"KLF\" href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=UT8F5WNhSYw\" target=\"_blank\">watch this bit of KLF <\/a><\/p>\n<p>Note: The phrase \u2018immanentize the eschaton\u2019 was first used by Eric Voegelin in 1952 in \u2018The New Science of Politics\u2019 and is is referred to fifteen times in The Illuminatus! Trilogy, the first of which is the first line of the novel, \u201cIt was the year when they finally immanentized the Eschaton.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The phrase was also used in the debut single (\u201cAll You Need Is Love\u201d) by the Illuminatus!-inspired British band The Justified Ancients of Mu Mu: \u201cWith this killer virus who needs war? Immanentize the Eschaton, I said shag shag shag some more!\u201d.<br \/>\nThe Justified Ancinets of Mu Mu were the earliest incarnation of the Drummond \/ Cauty collaboration that had most success as the Kopyright Liberation Front (KLF). The name comes from the Robert Anton Wilson & Robert Shea books, \u201cThe Illuminatus! Trilogy\u201d. The Justified Ancients of Mummu (JAMs) were the underground (underwater!) anarchist collective spearheaded by Hagbard Celine, who fights the Illuminati from a golden submarine, the Leif Ericson. In the book, Mu is another name for the vanished Atlantis and Lemuria.
