After a gap of thirty one years, some of the bands that performed on the original Jonathan Barnett inspired Weird Tales tours from 1979 and 1980 are back together to perform again on 18th November 2011.<\/p>\n

The Mob. Anyone that was lucky enough to get a ticket for Bristol reunion performance in April or be placed on the guest list for the surprise shindig\u00a0\u00a0in London’s Hoxton will know that The Mob in 2011 are a must see. If you were not lucky enough to be in attendance for those performances then get a ticket or two for this Weird Tales 2011.\u00a0<\/p>\n

For a measly \u00a312.00 you get The Mob, and the other Weird Tales veterans, Zounds, The Astronauts (performing tracks from the first two albums I am led to believe), and The Hamsters from Manchester (a certified favorite band of Mark E Smith from The Fall back in those days).<\/p>\n

Also on the Weird Tales 2011 bill are bands and\u00a0poets that did not perform on the original Weird Tales tours but as individuals\u00a0did witness some of the gigs during that era. Rubella Ballet, Idiot Strength and Andy T.\u00a0<\/p>\n

I am hoping that original Weird Tales sound man Grant Showbiz will be on the sound desk during the night at the Weird Tales 2011 event. I think this is being discussed at the moment with him so fingers crossed.<\/p>\n

Four hundred and fifty capacity in this Brixton venue that used to be called The White Horse a long time ago, so get the tickets\u00a0quick or miss out!<\/p>\n
