Was going to put up the first LP, then saw it was available on CD so I didn’t. Will have to settle for this live set, It was recorded at The Bridge House in Canning Town, London E16,\u00a0sometime in early 1982, and was\u00a0released\u00a0by Bridge House Records on the band’s own imprint due to it’s ‘bootleg’ quality. The band\u00a0was active\u00a0from 1979, performing both material and\u00a0having an image\u00a0with\u00a0a definite Velvet Underground influence. At this stage the band sported\u00a0Mo Tucker\u00a0or Stirling Morrison type haircuts and dressed in black with wrap round shades on!<\/p>\n

Another\u00a0huge influence\u00a0on the sound was The Only Ones, a band which included Peter Perrett\u00a0who produced\u00a0Wasted Youth for the sessions which spawned the second single ‘I’ll Remember You’. The Only Ones also took the band on tour in 1980.\u00a0Wasted Youth\u00a0lasted a little over three years from inception, until a gig at the Venue in Victoria, London SW1,\u00a0late 1982. They were capable of recording some great singles (now collected and available on a Jungle Records CD) and of course one great studio LP ‘ Wild And Wondering’. The guitarist went on to play for Flesh For Lulu, who were to become popular\u00a0in the then relatively infant ‘gothic’ scene. The first single by Wasted Youth is on this site somewhere if you use the search function. I am hesitant to put more on because of the Jungle CD.\u00a0Some good\u00a0material on this LP\u00a0including\u00a0‘Charlie and Harry’ which is is an immense track.<\/p>\n
