The first two gigs performed by Blyth Power outside of London, up north in Nottingham\u00a0and\u00a0a little village near Nottingham situated between Retford and (ironically)\u00a0Blyth called Sutton Cum Lound in September 1984.\u00a0<\/p>\n
At this time in the early stages of\u00a0Blyth Power\u00a0the band was a three piece consisting of Curtis, Neil and Josef.<\/p>\n
The gigs were performed and recorded on consecutive nights.<\/p>\n
Sarah and Andy, the two backing vocalists would join up in\u00a0December 1984 and\u00a0Blyth Power\u00a0gained confidence and were much more powerful\u00a0during that year with the five piece lineup,\u00a0than can be\u00a0heard on these three piece band\u00a0performances uploaded tonight.<\/p>\n
Although it must be\u00a0said that\u00a0the gigs\u00a0are recorded in nice crystal clear mixing desk quality and do have a certain amount of charm.<\/p>\n
