I only go up to the second line up era tapewise with Protag, Steve Corr, Sian, Josef and Sarah. Will put some 1987-88 stuff up in post 86 section soon enough no doubt mate.

If I was, it would be very interesting to see! Due to my chaotic lifestyle at the time, there can’t be that many photos of me from that period in existence.

Wow! I was actually at that gig!!! I don’t remember it being hugely well attended, either.

Blyth Power were then (and still are) my favourite band. They’re one of the few bands who in my opinion have improved over the years. I actually tend to prefer their more recent stuff, although the old stuff like this still cuts it.

On the subject of Jon Beast, does anyone remember the fanzine he used to produce called simply “Beast”? I’m 99% certain that I bought a copy at that very Red Rose Club gig.

Jon Fat Beast was also, IIRC, a champion Scrabble player. His best trick was to stick a biro in his belly button and go round saying ‘I am a dalek’
